We can invoice your insurance company directly, providing that ‘pre-authorisation’ has been obtained.
Medical insurance firms often require that a referral is obtained from your General Practitioner (GP) as a condition of the insurance policy. We would recommend that you make contact with your insurance firm prior to your initial consultation. The insurance company will give you a pre-authorisation reference /number which will simplify the process of account payment. Please bring your insurance details (policy number and authorization number) to the initial consultation.
If pre-authorisation has not been granted prior to the consultation, you will be asked to pay by cash or card on the day of your visit prior to your consultation. You should then forward the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Alternatively, you may request an electronic invoice for secure encrypted payment via Paypal (a Paypal account is not required) before you attend.
For further details contact Ms.Lynne Granger or Ms.Jana Dhiri in our admin section.
Many private hospitals require that payment is made in full or a deposit at or before the time of treatment for self-funding patients. The value of the deposit varies with treatment needed and is at the discretion of the hospital. The hospital may require further payments on account with payment of the residual balance in full upon discharge
The initial cardiac consultation involves taking a history. examination and an Electro Cardiogram (ECG) and electrical tracing of heart . This does not require sedation or anaesthesia. When medicines are recommended as part of the treatment, a prescription will be given to you at the end of the consultation.
Follow up consultation
At a follow up consultation, an Echocardiogram (Ultra Sound Scan of the Heart) is also usually performed, results of tests are discussed and patients who have had surgery or other treatment are reviewed.
